The GRINCHES That are Trying to Steal Christmas
So, about 10 minutes later, here comes Dad. All he was interested in was threatening to beat me up for talking to his son. He had no regard or concern for the safety or welfare of his OWN CHILD. It was also quite ridiculous that he made these threats from a wheel-chair that was the result of a temporary injury. I was not about to take on the threats of a handicap person, let alone beat one up. I advised him that I was only concerned for the safety of my guests and his son, since he did not care. I advised him that if he really wanted to fight (which I had no desire to), he should go back home, get better and then come back. Which, of course, he never did.
The next day, while driving home I saw Grandpa neighbor A in his yard. He waved at me so I waved back. When I pulled in my driveway I saw that he was walking down the street. I was somewhat relieved at first thinking that at least we could talk and work this thing out. He met me in the street and he informed me, "The next time I talk to his grandson he was going to beat me up". (His words were slightly different and more profane, but you get the idea).
I laughed at the mere thought of having to fight a helpless old man which he probably knew that I would not hurt him, but he had to look at least a little tough.
So you see the chain of warped mentality that is being passed onto one generation after another. They are more concerned with the lawns than their children or grandchildren. I, of course, did not humor him with his threat. I only explained that the light show was here to stay. He was more than welcome to join the group of other neighbors that gather at the house every night or move.
On to neighbor B.
