Christmas For Kids - Page 4
Every Good Child Deserves a Present!
BEING PRACTICAL
We have had experience with similar gift lists from other charities and one thing that we ask for is practicality. Although we understand the importance of a child's wish and the desire of parents to provide everything for their child, some things are just not possible. I have gotten gift lists for children and they contained items like, Sony PlayStation, Jordan Air Nikes and other high dollar items. Believe me, if we could buy every child every gift the wanted we without the repercussions of not learning value and practicality we would all spend thousands of dollars on our kids every year. Stella and myself are very old school in many ways and we are firm believers that the high dollar items that these companies market out there only teach children poor economic values and common sense. Bottom line here is that there are a lot of children out there that need help and we want to help as many as possible.
WHAT TO INCLUDE
If you decide to email or snail mail your gift list here are some things to remember that will make it easier. For clothing, be sure to include sizes. Rather than "action figures" or "dolls", try to give a specific type or character. Be sure to include and "special needs" for gifts.
If there are specific gifts you DON'T want your kids to have, please let us know.
Basically, try and give us as much information as possible. We want to make sure that they like what they get.
